Quality Specialist

Location: Design Development Center - Hudson, WI

Responsibilities

• Provide Document Control:
  - Review of work orders before and after production
  - Create/revise incoming and in-process inspections
• Develop IQMS quality expertise to support department.
• Manage outsourced sterilization activities
• Control and properly document non-conforming product
• Provide quality systems training and assistance to PPC employees in quality decisions and measurement techniques
• Prepare appropriate inspection records and measurement reports
• Identify and recommend continual improvement opportunities for quality systems
• Assist with submission or validation packets
• Other duties as assigned
• Keep work area clean
• Report incidents and injuries to team leader/manager immediately
• Recognize close-call incidents and safety hazards and take action to eliminate them
• Use equipment properly and follow the safety features/operating procedures
• Wear applicable personal protective equipment
• Follow applicable safety, quality, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures
• Actively participate in continual improvement, corrective action and customer satisfaction

Qualifications - Education & Experience

• Technical Associates Degree in Quality related field with 0 – 2 years related experience OR; 6 – 10 years of directly related quality experience
• At least one (1) year system management experience
• ASQ certification or equivalent experience (CQT)

Qualifications - Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of incoming, in-process and finished product inspection techniques
• Knowledge and experience working in a cGMP environment
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints
• Ability to apply SPC (Statistical Process Control)
• Ability to meet timelines
• Strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills
• Must be able to distinguish different colors
