Achieve sales forecasts as assigned by sales development director and increase depth/breath of sales penetration within assigned areas
Identify new business opportunities and pursue opportunities with potential customers per the direction of the sales development director
Develop a book of business new accounts, book production business, and sell Design Development business
Function as voice of the customer to provide insight on capabilities and performance
Develop and maintain overall knowledge of Phillips Plastics capabilities
Influence customer designs and specifications to include Phillips Plastics capabilities
Inform customers of new/changing Phillips Plastics capabilities, products, and processes
Keep abreast of customer policy and business changes which may also affect Phillips Plastics operations and policy
Keep informed of competitive activities, industry news, and progress
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years sales experience, with at least three years in the injection molding industry
Knowledge of injection molding, plastics/metal materials and associated processes
Ability to travel extensively
Ability to partner effectively (internally and externally) with personnel at all levels, particularly at top management levels / decision makers within the customer base
Strong and effective communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation and negotiation
Good judgment; showing strong business acumen, decision quality, intellectual horsepower, perspective, and problem solving
Courage indicated by strength of character, and ability to deal with internal and external challenges
