Customer Care Manager - Materials Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and leadership to the Customer Care group; including people management as follows: managing performance; addressing disciplinary issues; hiring; assisting people with career development; communicating information to direct reports and passing information up the management chain; ensuring team is aligned with and accomplishing goals/objectives; administrative processing; and, maintaining trust and confidentiality
  • Supervise purchasing, scheduling, and customer service; to include performance appraisal, training/development, coaching, counseling, and leading in accordance with the Phillips Plastics people process principles
  • Maintain accurate finished goods, Work-In-Progress and raw material inventories. Work with purchasing and accounting departments to monitor ongoing cycle counting program. Coordinate annual physical inventory
  • Maintain and develop systems to efficiently communicate and manage current order book as well as forecasting customer requirements to allow business unit planning, i.e. equipment, manpower, material, etc
  • Work with engineering and manufacturing to ensure timely communication of pilot builds and new program launches

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience leading people in a manufacturing setting
  • Associates degree in materials management or business; or equivalent mix of education and experience
  • APICS certification, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong knowledge of costing structure and scheduling
  • Leadership skills including ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Decision making and prioritization skills
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
