Corporate Overview:
Community
“To encourage corporate involvement in and commitment to the community," is one of Phillips Plastics’ founding Principles. This has and always will be a priority for Phillips’ individual facilities and the people who work at each location. Support is shown in many ways, from the AnnMarie Foundation with traditional monetary donations to helping our youth with furthering their education through scholarships.

AnnMarie Foundation
The AnnMarie Foundation provides monetary awards to local organizations to enhance quality of life and encourage future educational, humanitarian, cultural, recreational, and aesthetic activities. Since inception in 1974, the AnnMarie Foundation has donated $6.7 million to various clubs, councils, daycare centers, fire departments, medical clinics, schools and school districts, and youth sports teams.

Members of an independent board of directors choose recipients based on specific guidelines. Applications are reviewed quarterly by the board, and must be submitted by February 1, May 1, August 1, or November 1. After review of all applications for funds, the board, at its discretion, will make final determination of grants based upon funding availability and the impact of the organization on the community. Notification of acceptance or rejection of the request will be mailed after the board meeting.

Written requests may be submitted to:

“The Bob Farley Jr. scholarship honors unselfishness. After all, true leadership is the leadership that isn’t seen. It’s the leadership in serving others without recognition. This scholarship is named after a truly uncommon individual: Bob Farley Jr. Bob was an inspiration to all who had the chance to really know him. And the more you got to know him, the more goodness you’d find. Ironically, for someone who lived only 40 years, he always conducted his life from a long-term perspective, never seeking short-term gains. He sacrificed for others to succeed, not himself. Bob’s philosophy was: trust first, selfishness never, and goodness for eternity. This scholarship will be given to someone with the potential to be an unselfish leader like Bob.” – As written by Jay Kirihara, Phillips Plastics Sales Representative
AnnMarie Scholarship Program
The AnnMarie Foundation awards a $1500 scholarship to 39 recipients each year. To qualify, your child must be a graduating high school senior and complete the appropriate paperwork. Recipients are determined by the school faculty and administration, and will receive the scholarship in two installments – $500 after first semester their first year and $1000 after the second semester their second year. To find out more, contact your school’s scholarship committee/guidance office.
