The innovative OmniPod® Insulin Management System makes the process of controlling diabetes less invasive and easier to manage. Phillips Plastics became engaged early on in the process of developing the device, and partnered with Insulet to combat numerous product development challenges.

Among the most complex of challenges Phillips and Insulet faced was the need to create the “chassis,” an optimally functioning internal plastic component of the OmniPod. The chassis uses a technology called Molded Interconnect Device (MID), which allows it to provide mechanical support and electrically isolated traces.
