Designing A LifeSaver

Medtronic and Phillips Plastics Corporation™ have a long-standing history of working together to designand develop medical devices that save peoples lives. The Xcelerant program is no exception as the companies came together to create a more ergonomic, user-friendly stent delivery system.

Phillips was selected to provide full “soup to nuts” services, which included industrial design, CAD design, DFM, SLA, rapid tooling, mold development, qualification, and assembly including part decorating.

The finished product greatly simplified Medtronic’s assembly creating a strong industrial design.
