Phillips Plastics Corporation Awarded with 2006 Lilly Global Supplier Award
Prescott, Wisconsin - Phillips Plastics Corporation, a forty-two year-old custom injection molder of plastic and metal, was recently honored with a 2006 Lilly Global Supplier Award. Phillips Plastics and other winners were presented the award at the Lilly Corporate Center on August 3, 2006 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Eli Lilly and Company has a supplier base of approximately 6,000, of which, 100 are nominated for the Award. Phillips Plastics was one of only 12 to be honored this year, and the only injection molder to have ever received this award. According to Medical Molding and Assembly Plant Manager Dave Thoreson, “We have worked very hard as a team to make this program a success. Among other efforts, the facility has been focusing on customer service, on time delivery, meeting accelerated schedules, supporting new program development activities, and continuously improving our processes. This has resulted in overall better device performance and lowering of total costs. We are extremely proud to have received this award from Eli Lilly and Company.”
The award was created in order to recognize the exceptional efforts of suppliers and the Lilly personnel who work with them. The annual award allows Lilly to reward suppliers who provide a competitive edge.
